Missouri-Oklahoma Deaf Youth Camp

Camp Location
We have decided on the location for DYC 2008.
Camp will be at the Osage River Baptist Association Campgrounds "Kamp Keirsey" located
in Amsterdam, Missouri.

All Staff Meeting
April 12th we had an all staff meeting at Kamp Kirsey.  Thanks to all of you who were
able to take the time to attend. There was great feed back and many ideas discussed.  
After the meeting we walked throughout the camp and saw all the different activity areas
and buildings.



                Camp Pastor
Bob Barker will be the camp pastor this year. Bob graduated from Dallas Baptist
University and now is the pastor of Legacy Deaf Fellowship in Plano, Texas.  He has been
on several international mission trips.  



                Change in the Deaf Youth Camp Management
This past year Judi Barker informed Linda that she would be retiring. Judi has been the
Business Manager for over 20 years. Her talents in this field will be missed not to
mention her willingness to take on any job large or small and her giving spirit.  Judi will
be assisting during this transition
Instead of replacing Judi, we have decided to divide her responsibilities and created an
administrative team. Linda Whiggam, the Camp Director, is the leader of the team. Vivian
Crowley and Marsha Averill will be co-business managers, completing the team. During the
year the team will meet monthly to plan for the coming year.
